Maximum Ride: Finally Hitting the Little Screen?

My Maximum Ride Collection
Despite the fact that the Maximum Ride series (by New York Times Bestseller author, James Patterson) Maximum Ride's franchise, and intend on making it into a Youtube mini-series. No cast or release date has yet to be announced, but the development is expected to go quickly. Also, according to James Patterson's publisher, another Maximum Ride novel is in the works, and is expected to be released in January 2015.
has had it's far share of trouble in the movie 'biz (they were wanting to do a film for ages, but it never took off the ground) it seems Max and her Flock will finally been seen on the screen; albeit, a much tinier screen than imagined. Collective Digital Studio bought the rights to
I used to be a major fan of this series (but fell somewhat out of it after the 'final' Maximum Ride novel, Nevermore, as I'd read all of the books so many times) and while I haven't read the series in awhile, I'm really looking forward to this miniseries, and am intrigued to see who they cast as Max and co. While I wasn't exactly a fan of how the last book ended (it left a lot of things open), I'm hoping we'll find out what happened to certain characters if there will indeed be another Max book.

Breaking News: Marvel, Who, Trailers, Oh My!

Alright, so there's a lot of news today. A ton, most of which are very exciting. And I must say, one of them had me bouncing around my room/house with joy. First off, let's start off with the most recent Guardians of the Galaxy UK trailer, which features basically an entire trailer filled with new footage. It might contain some spoilers, just so yall know.

Little Mini Review for the trailer: Okay. Awesome. At first I was kind of 'eh, looks alright' about the movie, but the more I watched the first trailer, the more excited I got. The second trailer was awesome, but this one? Oh my goodness, this looks downright marvelous, hilarious, fun, action packed....is it August yet?

The second bit of news is this:

After the news that Titan Comics would be coming out with brand new comic-book series featuring both the Tenth and Eleventh Doctor with brand new companions (you can see the trailers for these here and here), I was beginning to wonder if they'd make one with the Twelfth Doctor (actually, come to think of it, I mentioned it to my Mom last night), and this morning, I find that they are going to do a comic series featuring Twelve and Clara. The Twelfth Doctor comics are set to be released on October 1st, while the Eleventh and Tenth Doctor comics are set to be released July 23rd. I must say, I'm glad to see those two back in comics, and I'm really looking forward to seeing Twelve in comic form.

The last bit of news is this: the current Spider-Man cartoon series, Ultimate Spider-Man is set to return on August 31st, and will supposedly be renamed Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors. The promotional image featured many different versions of Spider-Man, (most of which I didn't actually recognize), and also included Spoilers Ahead Spider-Girl on the image, which is the bit of news that had me bouncing up and down around the house. Ahem. But seriously, how cool is that (so long as they get her right)? May and Peter on the same show? Yowzah!

Note:
I've been kind of on a hiatus here lately, and I apologize for that, but I've got some new stuff to review, including The Staff of Serapis, the Red Dawn remake (which I watched last night), and also the rest of the Sherlock episodes I've seen so far (I've yet to continue onto season/series three). I'm not sure when these will be posted, but I assure you, they will be.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Review

Well, last night, I managed to watch this one in the nick of time for this review. Sorry for it taking so long to post it, but I've been out with my Mom and Grandparents today, and mainly forgot to schedule this post, so...
 Onto the review!
(Sorry if my writing isn't as good today, I'm tired, so.)

Synopsis:
When Luke Skywalker sees Obi-Wan Kenobi once more, telling him to find a Jedi Master, he and R2 goes to Dagabah to try and find Jedi Master Yoda. Meanwhile, Han, Leia, Chewie and C3P0 try to escape the Empire.

Review:
Some consider this the best Star Wars film of all time (if not the best movie of all time, but for me, that honor goes to the Avengers). What do I think of that title? Well, I don't really have an opinion on that, because I love all the movies, and don't have a favorite.
But that doesn't stop this movie from being great, and a great second chapter to the Star Wars saga. It shows our Rebel Trio (plus Chewie, R2 and C3P0) getting along better than in a New Hope, (something I noted a long time ago) and introduces us to some new characters, who ended up being fan-favorites (Boba Fett, Lando). It also revealed to us a major bombshell: (Spoilers. Really well known spoilers, but Spoilers) Vader is Luke's father...dun, dun, dun! Also, it plants seeds to another reveal which would be in Return of the Jedi (which I'll watch tonight, and review in the morning). All in all, awesome movie, awesome saga.

Overview:
5/5
For another review, check out James' review

Note:
They released a teaser trailer for Star Wars Rebels today, and a normal trailer will be released tomorrow, here's the preview, which is only 11 seconds long.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Aliens and Cellists

Plenty of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. news has been released in the past couple of days, including the identity of The Avengers-I never actually heard Coulson or Pepper mention the Cellist until I paid really close attention once I knew it was there, so, yeah). Anyway, let's get onto the news.
the blue alien, and the news that we will be meeting Coulson's girlfriend, the Cellist (she was mentioned in

   Who Was the Blue Alien?
      (SPOILERS)
In T.A.H.I.T.I., Coulson found a blue alien, which utterly baffled Coulson, and led him to believe he couldn't trust anyone (but Skye) and that if they told the team, then it could put their lives in danger. Well, at a convention, Chole Bennent, Skye, confirmed that the alien was a Kree. Well, now we know what it is, but it does raise the question: how did S.H.I.E.L.D. get their hands on it? Hmm.....

 THE CELLIST

In the Avengers, Pepper asked Coulson about 'the cellist' who was his girlfriend. Later, in the episode, The Magical Place, Rina told Coulson about how the Cellist cried for days after they told her that Coulson had died during the Battle of New York, which left Coulson in tears as well. Well, now we are getting a name and a face to that nickname: Audrey, who is played by Amy Acker, will be joining the team on an episode to be aired in April.

There is also a trailer for the upcoming episodes, but alas, it will not load onto the page (or it just has it's invisibility cloak on at the moment), so here's the link to the trailer.

Handing Over the TARDIS keys

Today I learned that IDW-the comic book publishing company-lost the license for Doctor Who comics, and those rights were handed over to the comic book publishing company Titan Comics. They have comics lined up with both the Tenth Doctor and Eleventh Doctor. While I'm sad to hear IDW lost the rights-all my Who comics were by them (and by all of them, I meant the only three issues I own....so far), I'm hoping that Titan Comics can bring something new, because if one things for certain-nothing ever stays the same in the Whoniverse. Not the crew, cast, comics, or even the audience. Looking forward to more comics with the Doctor!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season Six Trailer Revealed

Before I continue on, I know the glimmer of hope this title may present, but unfortunately, Clone Wars is still cancelled. However, I hope some of you out there has Netflix, because the final (and short) season of the epic animated series will be hitting Netflix in March. Today they released a trailer for the next season, and I have to say, it looks like a whopper!

I'm going to give you all a moment to digest what you just saw for a moment......
Done? Okay, well, this trailer pretty much had me gasping, laughing, and had my eyes widening throughout the whole two minutes and fifty three seconds of it. Does it look good? No. It looks awesome. I mean, Yoda vs. (what I think is) the Emperor? Order 66? Yoda actually having a vision about Order 66? Looking like it was pulled right from the films? Talk about awesome! Hopefully, this season will be placed on the Star Wars website where you can watch it for free, otherwise those without Netflix shall not be able to see it. However, that doesn't change the fact that it looks awesome!

What did you think of the trailer? What are your hopes for the next season? Comment Below!

Breaking News: New Companion and a Spidey Trailer

Well, when I woke up this morning, I did not feel the disturbance of the force of two big pieces of news. One came from Doctor Who; a character called Danny Pink, who works at Coal Hill School with Clara Oswald, will be becoming a recurring character (companion possibly?). I like the fact that this means we've now met two different teachers from Coal Hill School (excluding Clara), and I'm hoping we get to meet more.
Check Out Doctor Who TV for more details

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also brought news in today in the form of a new trailer (again? Yeah, again, but every single time a new trailer comes out, the more awesome it looks-however, as much as I love new trailers, I think they should pull a Captain America: The Winter Soldier and give us a few trailers without spoiling much). The trailer itself looks awesome, and there is a very, very, very, very bad piece of foreshadowing in the trailer (even if my spidey-senses have already said it'll happen.). See it below (I squealed when I saw the doors opening in homage to the Sinister Six).

Star Wars News-Release Date Released

While I'm sure this has already been spread world-wide by now, I figured I'd jump into the loop. The Star Wars website has revealed the release date for Star Wars: Episode VII. It is to be released December 18th, 2015. Shooting has been scheduled for spring, 2014. With Spring rolling around in a few months, I'm figuring they must have the cast together. If they do, then they are being tight-lipped about it.
In other Star Wars news, Star Wars: Rebels is to be released in a one-hour special premiere on Disney Channel in Fall, 2014. Beyond that, the series will premiere on Disney XD channels.

 Star Wars: Episode VII News
Star Wars: Rebels News

While I'm slightly excited about Star Wars: Rebels (and the possible appearances of Ahsoka Tano and Princess Leia), I'm still upset about the cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Beyond that, I'm excited about the new Star Wars movies. I might've had some doubts in the beginning, however they've put together an incredible crew to make it. And with the way the Marvel movies are going-hint: awesome-I have a feeling Star Wars will follow Marvel's steps.

The Time of the Doctor-Official Promo Image, Synopsis and Title Revealed

Whovians are still reeling over the amazing Day of the Doctor, the fantastic 50th Anniversary Special that featured  series regulars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman that featured the return of David Tennant and Billie Piper and also brought in John Hurt as the Doctor who Ended the Time War.
Now, barely two days after the premiere of The Day of the Doctor, fans were treated with news of the upcoming Christmas Special that will see the farewell of the fantastic Eleventh Doctor, portrayed by Matt Smith. The News in Question was a Fantastic Promo Image of the Eleventh Doctor and Clara, behind them what appears to be the Silence and in The Doctor's hand is the head of a Cyberman.
The name of the special has also been revealed to be The Time of the Doctor, a get away from previous titles that had a more Christmas-sy feel to them (The Christmas Carole; The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe; The Snowmen). The Synopsis has also been revealed:
Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the forces of the universe's deadliest species gather, drawn to by a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars. And amongst them- the Doctor. Rescuing Clara from a family Christmas dinner, the Time Lord and his best friend must learn what this enigmatic signal means for his own fate and that of the universe.
I have, now unfortunately, read rumors/spoilers of the Christmas Special on Tumblr, and it seems to fit in with the synopsis, and I'm afraid that I might know the plot-I really hope not.
I myself, among many Whovians I'm sure, am not looking forward to this Christmas Special, as it features the farewell of my favorite Doctor. Though, as I've always said, my favorite Doctor will always be the Doctor, 11 has become my favorite incarnation of the Doctor.
I wouldn't be surprised if we got a full trailer here soon, as it's only one month away,

To see the promo image/synopsis/title reveal, check out Doctor Who TV, I check it daily for Doctor Who news and spoilers!

What do you think of the name/synopsis and title?
