Best Of 2014 (Television)

Hello, dear readers! I hope you've all enjoyed a happy New Year's. If you haven't noticed, I've redecorated a little bit, complete with a new logo (clip art courtesy of the royalty free clipart website, openclipart). Anyway, to celebrate the new year, I'm going back in time to last year, to review the Entertainment of 2014, in this installment I'll be focusing on Television. Spoilers obviously follow below, but I'll try to put warnings on the really spoiler-y areas.

Best Television Return (Season Premiere): Doctor Who
While this could easily have gone to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the season premiere I enjoyed the most was definitely Doctor Who's. The show returned in full force with a new title sequence, theme and a brand new (and already quite beloved) Doctor. Peter Capaldi made his first full appearance (after briefly showing up in the 50th Special, Day of the Doctor, as well as appearing at the end of Time of the Doctor). The premiere had it all: humor, heart-wrenching moments (*cough*, phone call, *cough), blasts from the past, and even a T-Rex in the London Thames! How's that for an opening?
Honorable Mentions: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Castle, Sleepy Hollow

Elementary: Ears To You Review

Hello, I'm back with a review after my tiny-little hiatus. Today I'm reviewing the most recent episode of Elementary, which is a television show that reimagines Sherlock Holmes (ya know, sorta like the British version, Sherlock.) in present day form, and has him and Joan Watson consulting for the NYPD. (Yeah, Watson's a woman).
Admittedly, before I watched the show, I didn't think it'd be any good. Despite not being a fan of Sherlock Holmes back then, I thought how silly it was to have Watson to be a woman, and I found the premiese of the show not to be any good. Then, my dad starting watching the show (he's a fan of Sherlock Holmes), and then me and my mom got to watching it, and it's surprisingly good. But, before I continue any further of my journey into the show, let's start the actual review, shall we?

Synopsis: Written By Me
Sherlock and Watson are put on the case when a man recieves two severed ears through the mail. But when they start to investigate, the case takes a strange turn. Meanwhile, Lestrade attempts to solve the mystery of who mugged him.

Warning-Minor Spoilers
Review:
The episode was funny, mostly between Sherlock and Watson's banter, but the ending with Lestrade was funny too. The case itself was quite...odd, to say the least, and it seemed quite, well, impossible. I was surprised that the case itself really didn't have a plot twist to add onto the level of mystery and shock, but, alas, it did not. The ending was cool between Sherlock and Watson, and I'm definitely looking forward to next week's episode.

Overview:
3/5

Note: I'm starting to read the Sherlock Holmes books, and I'm currently on A Study in Scarlet.

This is the promo for 'Ears to you', but I cannot post the next episode's promo, as no one has it up.

Did you watch this week's Elementary? If so, what did you think of it? Comment Below!
