Doctor Who: Robot of Sherwood Review

Finally, the episode I've been looking forward most to has arrived-Robot of Sherwood! Let's get on
with the review, shall we?

Synopsis:
Under the bright dappled trees of Sherwood forest, an enemy is stirring. As the Doctor and Clara arrive to find Robin Hood and his merry men, the discover a deadly secret-but can they save the day? And more importantly, can Robin Hood even exist?

Review:
I had two thoughts for this episode before it aired. I would either love it, or I'd hate it. Thankfully, it went for the former-I loved this episode. It was clever, funny, charming, sweet, exciting, everything you could ask for in a Doctor Who meets Robin Hood episode. While Twelve and Clara's bickering wasn't front row in this episode, there were still some pretty amusing scenes that featured bickering. The monsters and the villain was pretty cool, and the way they were-originally-defeated was pretty clever. More hints for the plot arc this season came in this episode-as expected-but not in a way that we've come accustomed to. The Clara/Robin Hood friendship was sweet, the Doctor/Robin Hood bickering was hilarious, Clara/Doctor were hilarious as always, and combine those three friendships, and you've got a hilarious episode. The Doctor showed that he was still ever the softy, but still was the same Sherlock Holmes type Doctor he is (in fact, minor spoilers, I do believe Clara called him Sherlock at one point). I can't go on more about the greatness of the episode-mainly for spoiler reasons, and plus this review could get super long-, but needless to say, it was awesome.

Overview.
5/5
