Top Five Favorite Movies

I've heard of people doing a 'Top Five Favorite Movies' list before, but I never thought of doing one myself. To be perfectly honest, it'll be kind of hard for me, really, because I watch a lot of movies, and I love a lot of them too, so it may be hard for me to pick. Maybe, maybe not.

5. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban; where do I begin? This is my favorite film of all the Harry Potter movies (and my favorite book of the series as well), and is easily one of my favorite films of all time. Why? I don't really know, to be perfectly honest. Maybe it's the darker tone of the film, or the scariness of it (the Dementors, ect.), or maybe it's because there's SPOILERS time travel in the film. Either way, this is my favorite film of the series, however I put it so low on the list because there's so many greats ahead of it.

4. Star Trek Into Darkness

Admittedly, I wasn't too excited about the film when I heard about it. When I watched the trailer, I thought the movie would be good-the word in my head may have been awesome- and when I watched the film, there was no shadow of a doubt that this was a good film. It had plenty in it-action, humor, tragedy, ect. Two scenes in the film made me tear up, and a bunch more made me laugh my head off. I kind of guessed who the main villain was, but even so, the movie is still awesome, and is my favorite Star Trek movie to date, and I definitely think that this movie is better than the first.

3. Scooby Doo: Zombie Island

Why is there a Scooby Doo film on this list? Because I'm a huge, mega fan of Scooby Doo. I've been watching Scooby Doo all my life, and I still watch the films and shows even though I am a teenager (but you're never too old for Scooby Doo!). Anyway, this film is my favorite of all the bunch, and it's hard to define why, but there's so much to love about the film. It's set in the South, is basically a ghost story, with lots of humor as to be expected, and is enjoyable. And so, it's my favorite of all the Scooby Doo films. I love scary stories, I can't help it. I love to be scared. And it takes a lot to scare me in films (unless I'm watching Alien, because I squealed a lot when I watched that one). Though, this movie never scared me, it's still a fun watch.

2. Day of the Doctor

Okay, I'm cheating a bit. Actually a lot, since how this technically isn't a film. But it was released in theaters, so does that count? I was making up my list of favorite movies, and I was stuck, and thus I thought of this, and I thought, it could be cheating, but it's still around the time of a movie (it's about forty minutes shorter than Thor: The Dark World!) and so here it is. I was really looking forward to 50th, and most importantly, seeing the Tenth Doctor and Eleventh Doctor together. I could go on for ages about 10 and 11 together (especially that scene when they were wrapping up the Zygon plot, and crossed their arms and everything at the same time), but I'm trying not too. The beginning of the episode was hilarious, and it was one of the most interesting TARDIS landings I've seen so far-to say the least. And that ending....oh that ending was just plain EPIC! I could on for ages about this, and I've seen it a thousand times already, but it's still....it's wonderful.

1. The Avengers

What else could it possibly be other than The Avengers? My all-time favorite film, this movie is just...awesome. There's no amount of words to describe how marvelous this movie is, and I love it. It's pretty long for a movie, but the time just flies. Whoosh! It's hilarious, it's action packed, it's awesome, it's the best comic-book movie so far. All of the characters have funny lines, and the whole film is just awesome, and I was really looking forward to this film when it came out, (so were my parents) and this is just one of my favorite movies, and is definitely the number one. Avengers Assemble!

Honorable Mentions:
The Spider-Man Trilogy, The Amazing Spider-Man, Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Thor: The Dark World, ect.

What did you think of my list? Do you agree with the list? What are your favorite films? Comment Below!

  1. Awesome list! The Avengers is a fantastic choice for number one. I love that movie so much; I feel like I need to watch it again! I considered adding The Day of the Doctor to my Top 100 Movies List, but I decided against in the end, but it does qualify as a movie since it was in theaters. :) It was such a great episode though!
I remember watching Scooby Doo: Zombie Island when I was a kid! I remember it being one of the darker ones since it has actual zombies. I used to watch that show all the time as a kid!
Star Trek Into Darkness was very good. I enjoyed it overall, but mostly for Cumberbatch being generally awesome as *SPOILERS* Khan.
While Deathly Hallows Part 2 is my personal favorite Harry Potter movie, I cannot argue with the Prisoner of Azkaban being one of the best. The time-travel part was one of my favorite parts of it too!

    1. I know! Avengers was so awesome, and just thinking about it makes you want to watch it! I know, it's probably one of the best episodes they've done (and they've done a bunch of good DW episodes). It's my favorite Scooby movie of all the bunch (and that's not taken lightly as I love a lot of them), and I still enjoy it. Star Trek was awesome though, it could give Iron Man 3 a run for it's money as best summer movie of 2013. Prisoner of Azkaban has always been one of my favorite movies, so much that I've seen it so many times I could probably say the lines backwards. But still, a great movie.
