Hello! Finally, I've returned! Sadly, due to internet problems, I was unable to post the reviews for season six and the previous Christmas Specials, but luckily today I was finally able to watch The Time of the Doctor.
It starts off with fun little quips and introduces Handles the Cybermen head, who stays with the Doctor during his time at Trenzalore. Then, it becomes quite the emotional episode. Like the previous episode to feature Trenzalore, it starts off funny and it ends up being quite bittersweet.
The one thing I was worried about was how they were to end 11's reign. I really wanted him to go out with dignity and heroically, and they did a marvelous job. I was crying during most of the episode. Bad, I know, but the episode was such a great one. I think that this one would even bump Doomsday to a second spot for saddest episode!
It was a brilliant send-off, and a beautiful ending to 11's reign. It was perfect in every way. It was creepy during some, funny during a few, and sad during most of the episode. I loved it. Perfect send off to Eleven.
Stars: Out of Ten? Eleven.
Raggedy Man,
Goodbye.

ReplyDeleteThat was such a fantastic episode wasn't? The Doctor's speech at the end literally gave me chills! Matt Smith really brought his A game for the episode. His performance was even better than usual. It was really sad though.
Hopefully I will have my review up on Tuesday. :)

It was so fantastic, and it was brilliant and so sad all at once. I've been scrolling on Tumblr seeing posts about the episode that's just making it sadder. And in stage one of losing my favorite Doctor, I've been listening to 'Infinite Potential' aka the song that was played when he regenerated. I'll probably end up watching a happier episode in a bit to make me feel better!
DeleteAnyway, congrats on the 1000th post!

p.s. Looking forward to your review!
