All great times must come to an end. Tonight, the BBC has confirmed that Matt Smith is to leave Doctor Who in the 2013 Christmas Special. Previous reports say that Jenna Louise Coleman will stay.

I wish Matt Smith good luck, and I can't wait until the 50th.

    As Luke Skywalker would say: "That's not true, that's impossible!" That is really disappointing, because he is my favorite Doctor ever, he should play him for a very long time.

      I agree, he's my favorite Doctor as well, and I thought he'd been staying for Season Eight. But I'm looking forward to the New Doctor, and we still have the 50th Anniversary, and the Unnamed Christmas Special (which will mostly likely be heart breaking) and then the wait for Season Eight!

      But, a new chapter is beginning, and we'll have a new Doctor soon, so I'm looking forward to the excitement of a new Doctor.
      After all, my all time favorite Doctor is the Doctor! :)
