Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In-Depth Review

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was pretty much the one new TV show I was looking forward too this September-well, actually, the only new TV show, but still-so I was counting down the hours until the premiere.
Was the counting down worth it?
Well, a little. The pilot was good-don't get me wrong, I liked the fact that they added Extremis because it was such a good plot-tie-in into the Marvel Movies, aka Iron Man 3. For a pilot, it wasn't very long. For instance, the pilot for Psych was a little over an hour, maybe and hour or twenty minutes, while Agents of SHIELD was a regular length episode.
Normally, first episodes aren't good. Many first episodes aren't very good. Why? Because it has to set everything up. It asks the important questions; why is Coulson still alive? Who is Skye? Who's Melinda May? But it doesn't give us answers, which isn't surprising. Also, the episode has to introduce the characters, and it did so wonderfully. But now that the back story is done with, the series can really lift off now.

Pilot Overview:
Agent Phil Coulson-mysteriously back from the dead-is putting together an elite team to investigate the strange and unknown. He recruits Grant Ward, Melinda May, Leo Fitz,  and Jemma Simmons. From there they meet the hacker Skye, who is mysterious enough as SHIELD has no information on her, and also her ties to the mysterious 'Rising Tide'. Together, they'll have to help a man who is under the effects of Extremis.

Review:
The episode was great, it had action, humor, drama, and a nice ending. In all, it was like the Marvel Movies, it had the same feel, but only on the small screen. Will I continue watching? Yeah! Just because the pilot had a slow build-up, it doesn't mean the rest of the series will. Personally, next week looks awesome, and I will continue to watch the show. It has the potential to become one of my favorite shows.

Notes:
I had to add this, because it's so ironic. Jemma, the Bio-Chemist, mentions that she's not 'Hermione'. Ironically, Ian Hart, who played Professor Quirrell in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, will be appearing in episode three.

Next Episode:
0-8-4

Note: The end of the preview shows why I will never get on a plane.

Will you be watching the next episode? I know I will!

Harry Potter (by J.K. Rowling) Review

Harry Potter has been one of my favorite book/movie series for...well as long as I can remember.
I grew up with the movies, rather than the books, and a couple years back I went back and read the books.
Unlike watching the movies, I accidentally didn't get to read the books in order. I started off with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban. I didn't finish either Goblet of Fire, or Order of the Phoenix the same year. Fast forward a year or so, and I was reading The Deathly Hallows, then Half Blood Prince. Then a year later, I had all of the books, and I began to read them in order Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire. At this point, there was only one book I had left to read that I  hadn't read before; Order of the Phoenix.
Yes, I ended up finishing the Harry Potter series with MINOR SPOILERS!   Harry being escorted from Platform Platform 9 3/4, by some of the Order, the Weasleys, and Hermione.
This made me happy and a tiny bit sad that this was how I ended up finishing the series, but oh well.

Overview:
On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter found out that he is fact a wizard, and that he is to go to a school for witches and wizards! But by finding out he is a wizard, Harry and his friends (Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley) find themselves in years of adventures and danger.

The Books:
I absolutely love the books! They are amazing! J.K. Rowling is a writing genius!
The Favorites:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The Movies:
I love the movies just as much as the books! Amazing, once more!
The Favorites:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Breaking News

Okay, so apparently Comic-Con had some major reveals.
Like HUGE reveals.

So, let's begin, shall we?

Doctor Who
Those lucky enough to go to Comic-Con got to see...the 50th trailer (which has yet to appear on the 'net), but we also found something else out.
This is where the spoilers appear sweetie, so you may want to look away!
The Daleks are returning. It's official. Here's the gallery of photos from the 50th featuring the Daleks.
Alright, Whovians, it's time to do some theorizing on my part. Obviously, these photos are from an unexplored area in Who-Lore (okay, never saying that again); The Time War. Many have said it, and I agree. The Daleks are obviously on Gallifrey, because if you look closely enough, you'll see a circular gallifreyan symbol behind the Daleks in at least two pictures. The most we've ever seen about the Time War was from The End of Time. Hmm..
Note: I will post the trailer as soon as it's been released.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
One of the shows I'm most looking forward to.... they showed the FULL first episode of AOS at Comic-Con (yes, the first episode..) It seems to have gotten a lot of good reviews too.
Anyway, one thing that has been confirmed, is that Maria Hill is going to be in the Pilot episode.

 Other News:
Avengers 2 officially has a title! Avengers: Age of Ultron. Something robotic this way comes!

Okay, so I probably missed a bunch of news, but it's Comic-Con! There's so much news....

Idea: I was thinking of review some of the Spider-Girl issues I have. What do yall think?

Art

Thanks

Based upon the scene after Harry, Ron, and Hermione face the troll, and say thanks to each other, and become friends, this art became one of my instant favorites.

I feel that I drew Ron the best, Harry the second best, but I feel that I didn't do justice to Hermione, however as I've already inked in it, it may be hard to go back and add touch ups.
Drawn by pencil, inked by a art pen, and colored with colored pencils..
