Jurassic World Review

One of the summer's biggest successes, Jurassic World had a lot of to live up to-including three previous movies with an different cast! So did the film live up to expectations?

Synopsis:
After years of being a popular tourist attraction, the finally successful Jurassic World needs a brand new and more exciting attraction-but plans go awry when the park's newest genetically modified dinosaur gets loose and goes on a rampage.

Review:
To be perfectly honest, I haven't actually seen any of the other Jurassic Park films, so this one was my first voyage into the-pardon the pun-Jurassic world. However I know that my expectations-how small they might have been-from the trailers were blown completely away when I watched the movie. The movie follows Claire Dearing and Owen Grady as they go hunting for the dinosaur that's escaped, while also searching for Claire's two nephews, who are lost somewhere in the park.

The movie has some humor in it, but the real charm of the film is the characters and plot. Oh, and the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs always help. Most important in the film is the development the characters got, and each character walked away different from the way we met them, which is the best thing that could happen as otherwise it would feel like the audience got cheated characterization-wise. The action is also top-notch, but never detracts from the film, which can sometimes be a problem in films.

The plot, however simple it may be, works in the film's favor. There are enough subplots that the film doesn't get boring, but not too many that makes the film confusing or rushed. The film does what it has to, and it does it spectacularly.

All in all, the movie was an excellent film and I personally cannot wait until the next!

10/10
