Hello! I'm back after that short hiatus. And during that hiatus, I forgot to post about the new Spidey trailer, and during that time of forgetting, a new trailer for Days of Future Past came out, so here's a double-sized post.
Okie dokie then. The second trailer arrived for X-Men Days of Future Past (how many little previews did they release for this trailer?), but was it worth the wait? Weelll, maybe. I don't really know about this one. I'm just not as hyped for it than I am Captain America: The Winter Soldier or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Guardians of the Galaxy has officially topped my list of 'potiental great movie'. As my dad said, 'Superheroes in space, you can't go wrong with that.'). The film looks alright, but one of my main concerns in all the characters in it-I lost count how many there are. The main characters in the film that I can see is Magneto, Professor X, Mystique and Wolverine, so the rest will probably end up being background characters. Will it be a good film? Too early to judge. I'll probably see it though.

Another Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer has been released? Well, yeah, there has. It's using mostly already used footage-however there are some new clips in it that some could consider major spoilers. This trailer (which is the final trailer for the Amazing Spider-Man 2) has a more epic tone than the others, which were mostly filled with a light hearted air, with a tinge of awesomeness (well, I say I tinge, I mean a whole load of awesomeness). This trailer, though? Say goodbye to the lightheartedness! I only counted two funny moments/quips in the film. One half way through and the end scene. Luckily, this trailer does not hint at a possible death towards the end of the film (which I have yet to say who on this blog just in case of spoiler-reasons), but if you know the story-line from the comics, then you'll guess what I'm talking about. Though it doesn't have a lot of the foreshadowing to that, there is some. Also in the trailer, there is an epic battle between (Spoilers) Spidey and Gobbie (Green Goblin). Really awesome part. It also shows a rather interesting team up, which could be considered a big spoiler, and I think that if they hadn't put it in the trailer, then it could've been a very interesting moment in the theater. So, basically, in some scenes, this trailer is a 'watch at your own risk' sort of thing, so it's up to you to watch it, but I wish you luck, because it looks amazing. (Had to do it, sorry. Eh, nope, not sorry, I love making terrible puns!)
What did you think of the trailers? Which film are you looking forward to more? Which are you going to see? Comment below!

Even though I am also concerned that there are going to be too many characters in the Days of Future Past, if anyone not named Joss Whedon can pull it off, I think Bryan Singer can. He did a great job with X2 and the Usual Suspects, so I really think he can do it again with this movie. I can't wait to see it in theaters though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link!
Also, since I am avoiding anymore Spidey trailers, I have not watched this one. But I am definitely going to be seeing it in theaters!

It'll definitely be interesting to see how they manage to pull X-Men off, though. No problem! I can't really blame you for not watching the recent Spidey trailers, 'cause they've been putting stuff in them that could REALLY be considered spoilers. So, yeah.

I'm looking forward to Days of Future Past. I just started watching the X-Men movies for the first time recently and I really like them. :)
ReplyDeleteNice post! :)
xx
They're good films, really- (well, the origin story they did of Wolverine was...well, not very good)-and this film could be a really great story, if they handle all the characters perfectly. Thanks!
