Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned last night to our screens after a month long abscense, but was the wait worth it? Answer: Yes.
Note: If there's anything mispelled, I'm really sorry, but my spell-check isn't working.
Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
When an undercover mission went wrong, Skye attempted to thwart Ian Quinn's plans, and discovers the mysterious Deathlok. Afterward, Quinn shoots Skye twice in the stomach, and he nearly flees before being captured by Coulson and his team, who quickly rush to find Skye barely alive.
Now:
When the team is told there is no chance at all to save Skye, Coulson decides the best way to save her is to go to the people who brought him back from the dead.
Review:
That was a good episode. I mean, really. I'd seen the first four minutes before-I watched the sneak peek-but the looks on the team's faces when the doc lady said that there was no chance to save Skye...it gave you the real feeling that they were a family who had the chances of losing a loved one. This episode introduced Agent Garret and Agent Tripp, and after a minor disagreement, the two teams come to terms, and work together to save Skye, and quickly find out about a serum called GH325. I admit, I sat straight up when Fitz and Simmons mentioned a World War II bunker. Theories began to spin around in my brain-was GH325 an attempt to recreate the Super Soldier Serum? When they arrived at the Guest House, the tension was to thick in the air, you could've cut it with a knife. The whole base is rigged to explode, and Ward and Garret attempt to disarm it, while Coulson and Fitz go to find the serum. They quickly do in a biohazzard area, and Coulson tells Fitz to go, as he has found a chamber called T.A.H.I.T.I. Finally, Fitz brought back the serum, and later we saw Coulson walking around dazed about what he had found-was that really Coulson? I thought, Did he find something that made him remember something? Is he a clone or robot or something now? Garret says that Ward and Fitz are already on the plane with the Serum, and Coulson warns that they can't give Skye the serum. As May preps the Bus to take off, Garret and Coulson make it aboard just in the nick of time as the base explodes, and run to the chamber where Skye is to warn Simmons not to give Skye the serum, but it's too late. Skye begins to heal immediately, but then her heart beat starts to accelerate, but then quickly goes back to normal. When Simmons mentioned that she had no idea what the serum was, and glanced at Coulson, I figured she probably knew, and so did he, something we don't know about the serum. I told ya-theories spinning around in my head. Anyway, Garret and Tripp leaves, and Garret tells Coulson they might see each other again soon, and reveals that Tripp likes Simmons. Later, when May asks Coulson about why he didn't want them to give Skye the serum, SPOILERS he flashes back to the room he was in, which had lots of strange wires and weird vials and stuff, and he opens a chamber called G.H. It slides open revealing....a blue alien with half of his body ripped off. I admit: an 'What...in....the name...of sanity...is that thing?' escaped my mouth during that scene. END OF SPOILERS Coulson comes back to the present and lies to May that he just remembered what it was like for him, and was worried about Skye. Later, he's seen sitting next to Skye in the chamber where she is, watching her concernedly. (I thought that scene was really sweet, I love the father/daughter relationship those two have).
SPOILERS (really minor I suppose)
The mid-credits scene was interesting, and very long, and ties into next week's episode, which features Lady Sif from Thor.
I admit, when the show went off, my mind was blank. Blank. I managed to pace around the house, muttering about 'he was blue!', trying to fit together what on Earth had we just seen. That scene, that was like something out of the X-Files! Great episode, and managed to make me both theoryless and speechless all in a barely two minute scene. On that, I say A+

Oh man that was such an intense episode! Bill Paxton's character was cool, the reveal that the there is some kind of alien that was used to bring Coulson back from the dead was shocking! I do not recognized the alien from the comics though.

I know! It really, really was intense. I just want to know what the G.H. stood for an why an alien would be placed in a room the the name T.A.H.I.T.I. 'It's a magical place?' hmmm....lots of people are saying it's a, uh...Skree, I think's how you write it, but no one really knows....but I mean....he was blue!
