Thor: The Dark World Review

I've finally seen it! Yahoo! And do you know what? It did not disappoint. This movie was amazing. It was hilarious, it was sad, it was wonderful, it was shocking, it was....I have no words how it was. It was just a great movie.

Synopsis:
After finding herself on a different realm and being brought back, Jane Foster finds herself reunited with Thor, and the two head to Asgard. But when tragedy strikes, Thor reunites with his imprisoned brother, Loki, in an attempt to stop the evil Dark Elf, Malekith from destroying all the realms.

Review:
Okay. That...that was a great movie. Sorry, did I say great? I meant amazing. There are no words about how good that movie was! It was hilarious, it was devastating, it was epic, it was awesome, it was....it was so much in a neat little package! While I did know a couple things about the movie, specifically the sadder parts of the movie and the end of the movie (I'm really trying not to spoil things here) due to reading reviews on the movie (unfortunately not spoiler-free ones), but the sadder scene towards the end still got me. In the hilarity terms, the movie was top-notch. Well, in my opinion two characters at least-Darcy and Loki. Of course, even more hilarious was Thor and Loki's witty banter. I loved the scene with Thor trying to pilot the ship, and-of course- the cameo. Oh, anyone who has seen the movie knows what I'm talking about. That cameo...oh, that was the most hilarious scene in the movie. Warning: Minor Spoilers Coming Up, Leading into the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film! I'd read about the end-credits scene, but I was still shocked when the Collector mentioned the 'Infinity Stones'. Now, I don't read many of the comics. The most I read usually have something to do with Spider-Man (Spider-Man loves Mary Jane, Spider-Girl, or in another none-Spidey note, Black Widow and the Marvel Girls), but I've heard about the Infinity Stones in passing, so I sort of know what they were talking about. I'm really surprised that the Tesseract was one, though. End of Spoilers. I like how the movie sort of leads into The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which I can't believe is only a year away. One of the best things of the film-besides the cameo, Thor and Loki's banter, and Loki's witty remarks-has to be Asgard. I'll admit, from the very first movie, I fell in love with Asgard, I thought it was absolutely beautiful. And the scenes with Asgard are still just as stunning in this film as the other.

Hint: Watch until the very, very end!

Stars: Five

  1. *Spoilers*

That cameo was perfect! I nearly died from laughter! XD I loved how the Captain America theme was played briefly during the scene too. You can hear it during the ost when you look it up online.

I agree, Loki and Thor's banter was one of the best parts of the movie! And Loki in general was probably my favorite part of the movie since he was just so all around awesome.

Thank you very much for the link to my review!

Yeah! You're officially back again! I am looking forward to more of your posts. :)

    1. I didn't catch the theme, but that scene was the most hilarious part of the movie! Personally, most of the humor came from Loki in the movie for me, him and Darcy at least. No problem! Thanks! :)
