The Sarah Jane Adventures Series Review

Back again, and today I bring a new review for a show that I love and seen almost every single episode of, The Sarah Jane Adventures.

The Sarah Jane Adventures was one of Doctor Who spin-offs, that ran for 5 Seasons (series), before the death of star of the show, Elisabeth Sladen (RIP), caused it's cancellation. The show followed Sarah Jane Smith, former companion to the Doctor, and several of the neighborhood kids solving mysteries and saving the earth. It's a great show, and easily the best spin-off I've ever seen to something. The show is more aimed to a family friendly audience, and half the characters are teenagers. Each story is done in two parts, except for the first episode, which is complete and is an hour long.
The show also had it's appearances of characters from Doctor Who, both the Tenth and the Eleventh Doctors appeared in the show (Ten in The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith, and Eleven in Death of the Doctor), Former Companion Jo Grant appeared in Death of the Doctor as well, and in Enemy of the Bane (Series Two), the Brig showed up (Nicholas Courtney, RIP).
My favorite of the series would have to be The Eternity Trap, a story in the show's third season, and it is about a haunted house.
You can normally find some of the SJA episodes on Youtube, and I think it has the first episode there, which is called Invasion of the Bane.

  1. Several years ago I remember the show airing on BBC America and since it was a Doctor Who spinoff I of course watched it, but then the channel stopped showing it for whatever reason, so I figured the show was canceled until a couple of years I discovered it actually had more than one season. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that I watched the first season, or the first half of it a long time ago but the rest of it never aired. Maybe I should give it a try again, although I still have a lot of other things to watch first. I enjoyed the review. :)

    1. Yeah, it's really hard to find in the US, but Youtube normally has a bunch of episodes. Thanks! So sorry for taking so long to reply, but I've been having internet problems and haven't been able to log in!
