Day of the Doctor Review
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DOCTOR WHO!
Oh my giddy aunt, do you realize how long I've waited to write those five words? Day of the Doctor Review! Okay, there's going to be TWO review below! One for the Spoiler Phobes (non Spoilery I promise!) and a second for all of those who've seen it and can't believe what they've just seen!
Non Spoiler Review
Day of the Doctor has to be one of the best Doctor Who episodes of all time. It blends Classic Who perfectly with New Who, has awesome references to the past, lots of humor and some serious moments. Though, at the end is a special treat for the fans!
I don't pay much attention to acting, but if I did, I'd have to say the acting from everyone was suburb! Wonderful! It's going to be one of those episodes in which you can watch a thousand times and each time you watch it, it just gets better. I loved the format of it as well, they did it perfectly, made it have a movie vibe, which I suppose makes sense as it was also released in select theaters. This episode was brillaint!

Spoiler-y Review
Hello, sorry 'bout the small print, but I don't want anyone to get spoiled. Okay! This episode is, as I said above, one of the best Doctor Who episode EVER. It had all the perfect references, and the ending was perfect. I mean they saved Gallifrey! All of the Doctors! And 12-New Doctor-appeared! He showed up! All the Doctors did! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, War 9, 10, 11, and 12 all showed up to save Gallifrey. I thought the ending of An Adventure in Space and Time was officially my favorite Doctor Who moment, but this moment has reached number 1. (the end to AAISPAT is number 2). It..I...my Dad is still excited that Tom Baker was at the end! I loved it, all of it. It'll get better with every rewatch. Now, I'm off to Tumblr, see how the Whovians fared through that episode!
END OF SPOILERS
This is normally the time I would say, I can't wait till the next episode, but I can. I really, really can wait till the next episode. I really don't mind the wait till the next one at all.
So, in the very wise words of a now 50 year old Mad Man in a Box, I say;
Geronimo,
Tegan

ReplyDeleteWow! What an amazing episode!!! So much epicness and fun and references and everything! Seeing Tennant again was great; I had forgotten how much I miss his incarnation of the Doctor. John Hurt was surprising fantastic as well. I almost wish he was going to be the new Doctor. I will hopefully have my full review up sometime this week. :)

I was really expecting that War Doctor/Mystery Doctor/8.5/John Hurt Doctor (that's a whole lotta names, I'm just going to stick with War Doctor from here on out) to be dark and cold and mean. Instead we got a snarky funny guy who was having a lot of fun hanging out with 10 and 11. It has to be one of the best New Who episodes I've seen-I haven't seen all the Classic Whos.
DeleteI can't wait to see the full review!
