Well, I'm not sure if it's breaking news, however I haven't heard of it yet, so here we are.
According to an interview with Zap2it, Jenna Coleman has stated that filming for Series Eight will start in January. According to another rumor, (I have not seen it confirmed yet by the BBC) Series Eight will premiere in August next year.
It seems like another awful long gap; longer than the gap between Series Six and Seven, as Series Seven went off in May, and the rumor says August. However, seeing as we do get the 50th and the Christmas Special, I might not complain about the supposed long wait. Maybe. Maybe not.

I am glad that Coleman is coming back, I really loved her character. I will miss her chemistry with Matt Smith though. That means she will be the first companion to actually see and react to the Doctor's regeneration; it will be interesting to see that.
ReplyDeleteWhy so long?! The 50th Anniversary and Christmas Special will have to be the most amazing thing ever to not make me frustrated by the long wait. This is one of those times when you really wish you actually had a real TARIDS! :)

Deletemy birthday is on the 50th anniversary and my friends and i choose our characters throughout the series and mine is Clara Oswin Oswald because it said on her gravestone that her b-day is the 23rd of November same as mine :D Anyways, she looks exactly like me but i have freckles and she doesn't...
