Doctor Who: Bells of St. John: In Depth Review

Hello Again. Yesterday's review was short, so I wanted to make a larger, more in depth review, so here it is:

Overview:
After months of searching, the Doctor has attempted to find out the meaning of the Woman Twice Dead. Meanwhile on Earth, Clara Oswald is finding herself in a spot of trouble when she clicks the alien virus that has infected the wifi......

Meet The Characters:
The Doctor: A Time Lord that travels in a blue box called the TARDIS, which is bigger on the inside, and can travel anywhere in time and space.
Clara Oswald: A 23 year old human who dreams of traveling, but instead finds herself living a life as a nanny, but that all changes...

The Technology:
Sonic Screwdriver: A device that can manipulate anything, other than wood.
The TARDIS: Outside is a ordinary blue Police Box, but inside is much bigger, and not at all ordinary.

Links to older episodes/companions/Doctors:
Many parallels to The Idiot's Lantern is seen.
Summer Falls, the novel that Clara said she had read, was written by Amelia Williams
'Doctor Who?' is asked again
UNIT appears again (last seen in The Power of Three)

Plot:
Something is living in the wifi, and people have been download, all because of one click....
The Doctor is still searching for Clara, and finally finds her when, somehow, the TARDIS' phone-the one outside- rings (this isn't supposed to happen, but it does once and a while), and Clara is on the other line. When the Doctor asks who gave it to her, Clara replies 'The Woman in the Shop gave it to me'
When Clara has to use a password for the wifi she knows, she types it in using the words that would help her remember:
Run. You. Clever. Boy. And. Remember. 123
At this point the Doctor, finally, realizes he is talking to Clara Oswin Oswald.
He reaches her and soon enough, he is getting dressed in some 'sensible' clothes. As he does this however, due to Clara clicking the wrong wifi, a Spoonhead appears, and tries to download her. The Doctor stops them however, and manages to protect Clara. In the end, he asks Clara to go with him. Clara replies 'come back tomorrow. In the end, she starts traveling with him.

Review:
The episode was thrilling, funny, and one of the best mid-season openers- Let's Kill Hitler would be another- in Doctor Who history (ahh..Who Humor) The episode introduced us to the new Clara perfectly, the story line was brilliant, fast paced in the beginning, small break, then it started to go faster. In all it was, as I said before, was the best. And out of ten, it was an eleven at best in the stars category. Wonderful episode. I cannot wait until next week.

Series Seven Part 2:
Episode List:

The Bells of Saint John

The Rings of Akhaten

The Cold War

Hide

Journey to the Center of the TARDIS

The Crimson Horror

Nightmare in Silver

(The season finale's title has not been revealed yet)

My Theories on Clara:
Honestly, I believe Clara has something to due with the 23rd of November. She was born on the 23rd of November when she was Clara Oswin Oswald, and I believe there are some ties to it.

My other theory is, while far fetched, she may have something to due with the Silence. Remember back in Day of the Moon, when the Silent told Amy she would bring the Silence, maybe she did by her and Rory being sent back in the past, where the Doctor wouldn't be able to travel with them again, and brought the Silence of the Doctor because he quit helping others. So, Clara must fit in somewhere.

  1. I liked how The Doctor liked it when Clara said "Doctor Who". It was hilarious! I agree, one of the best Doctor Who mid-season openers. Great review!

I assume that 3D is for 3D TVs only and the terrible red and blue glasses that they tried in the Super Bowl.

Glad that Smith will be back for Season 8, it will be a very sad day when he regenerates because he is my favorite Doctor.

  2. Thank you, I glad you liked the review! :) I have no clue what they mean by '3D' and if it'll be shown in 2D on television, they are also supposed to put the 50th in theaters, but it could change by the time November gets here. I just hope it will be on television, and also in 2D.
11 is my favorite Doctor as well.

Again, thank you for the comment!
