Hey Everyone! Hope you've had a great weekend! Today I'll be showing you some of my favorite crafts that I've done!
1. A Wand
OK, so I've always been a Harry Potter fan, so what's a HP fan to do other than make their own wand?
What You'll Need:
Anything Wood; a stick, or in my case a drumstick, anything that can be made into a wand-it doesn't even have to be wood either. It's your wand, your choice.
Paint-any color, I stuck with the wooden colors, but it's your choice.
Hot Glue Gun, and Hot Glue-most people say to carve out your designs, but the easiest way is a hot- glue gun.
Sand Paper
Step One: Getting Ready:
What you'll need for getting ready is simple, look at the list above. Get the stuff you need out first and foremost, then plug in the hot glue gun, wait until it's hot, and you're ready for the next few steps!
Step Two: Sanding Down
In order to make the paint stick, sand your wand down with Sand Paper, it's easy and fast, depending on how long you sand it. Tip: Sand over the trash can!
Step Two: Hot Glue
My three favorite characters are Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, and Ginny Weasley. So, going online, I found good pictures of their wands, using that, I used some of the designs from their wands into my wand (The handle is like Ginny's, the vines upward on the wand, Hermione's, and on closer look, I did the floral designs like on Luna's)
Using the designs you've decided on, simply take your hot glue gun, and work around the 'wand' (your choice of object). Once your done with your design, simply hold you wand until it dries (this usually doesn't take too long)
Step Three: Painting
When I first starting making my wand-this was a few months ago, this wand went through make-over after make-over-it was a pale white. After a while, I realized this wasn't Harry Potter enough. Later on, once I got the proper colors, I mixed red and black together, this took a while to get the part I wanted, and I painted the top most part. For the hot glue designs I used black. Simply pick your color(s) and paint it. After wards, once it dries, you have yourself a wand.
2. X-Button
So, I'm a Marvel fan, and so, an X-Men fan-though mostly Avengers-and going through the internet, I found not many crafts for X-Men. So here's my own. Here we go!
What you'll need:
Button
Paint
Scotch Tape (Optional)
Step One: Using your color-of choice paint, paint a large X in the middle-it's alright if it's not perfect, mine's not perfectly centered, but I still love it.
Step Two: What I did was I put scotch tape over the X, then painted the rest black, and thus gave it a glossy shine.
Step Three: Let it dry once your done.
Step Four: Wear It!
