 NOTE: I did read somewhere last year that Angel and Nevermore are in a different arc, but I cannot find out if this is true or not, and as I don't remember the name, I've put Angel and Nevermore under The Protectors, until this is confirmed or not.


 Characters:

Summary:
Maximum Ride and her Family (better known as The Flock) are hidden up in the mountains, in a house that is described as: 'an E turned on it's side', hidden away from 'The School' a Lab/Prison in which they grew up in, and experimented on. Max and The Flock are 98% Human, 2% Avian. (Bird) In which they have Wings.
They were rescued by a White Coat (Scientist), Jeb Batchelder, and he took them somewhere safe (leaving his own son, Ari, behind at the school.)
When the Story begins in The Angel Experiment it's revealed that Jeb disappeared two years ago, and they all knew that he was dead, but refused to talk about it.
The Angel Experiment starts off with Max running away from The School, with Erasers (as Max describes them; Half-Wolf, Half-Human: All Predator) chasing after her. They release Blood Hounds after her, and she comes to a halt, finding herself on a cliff. With the Erasers behind her, she says 'Both Options Stank' and decides to jump. At this she says; 'If you were me, you would've done the same.' She hears the Furious Erasers yelling, as she falls to her death. She says 'It was so dang peaceful' and then unfurls her wings, and whoosh! up and away from death. An Eraser points his gun at her, a red laser dot is on her night gown, she goes to the side, letting direct sunlight blind the Eraser, and thinks: I'm Not Dying Today.

Max wakes up with a jolt, realizing it was just a dream, and reveals she has the dream often, and it's always the same, and that 'I wake up, feeling a second away from death.'
Max then gets dressed, and goes to the kitchen, and decides to figure out what to eat. Everyone is asleep, so she gets a start on the day. She hears footsteps behind her, and The Gasman offers to pour juice. Soon all the boys are up, and Max goes to wake up Nudge and Angel. She wakes Nudge, and goes to Angel's corner of the room (Nudge and Angel share the smallest room) where it's described as Angel's 'Nest' Angel is already awake and dressed, and it's revealed that she can read minds.
After Breakfast, they go to pick Strawberries, but are ambushed by Erasers, and they kidnap Angel, knocking most of the Flock out as they left.
Max and The Flock decide they need to plot a rescue mission. Even if it means going back to the School.

Now, I'm stopping there, I don't want too many spoilers for the newbies. I'm only doing the first one, as I haven't read the second or third in quite some time.

There is also Manga Graphic Novels, and sometime in 2013 there will be a movie. James Patterson says that he is 'hopeful' for the movie.
