Netflix Wedesday: After (2012) Review

Welcome to the first ever Netflix Wednesday, and today I'll reviewing 'After'.
Synopsis:
After being in a bus crash, two people wake up in their small town to discover they're the only ones left in town...and there's a storm coming.
Review:
Despite the 'eh' description Netflix provided us, we watched After and were pleasantly surprised. The two main characters, Ana and Freddie, were easily likeable and the movie manages to avoid most cliches in terms of plot, but some plot points of the film were easy to guess. The film makes excellent use of flashbacks, that provide some exposition for the film. The main antagonist for the film works well enough, and while isn't all that frightening, it makes for a few interesting suspenseful moments in the film.
The film isn't nessecarily scary, but rather suspenseful. In all, it's a decent film worth a watch if you don't have anything else to watch, and it is a prime example of not judging a book by it's cover...or a movie by it's Netflix description.
