night, tying up the cliffhanger left by next week, and left fans screaming at their TV at the end of the episode-or was that just me?
Mission Briefing:
Picking up where the first episode left off, Lance Hunter is captured by Glenn Talbot and his soldiers, while May keeps an eye on 'The Absorbing Man', who is quickly losing control over his powers....
Spoilers Throughout, none too major though....
Review:
The episode started off quickly, picking up exactly where we left off last week: Idaho and Hartley dead in the flipped over SUV, with only Hunter left alive. He quickly escapes-with some help from Agent May-and is quickly captured by Talbot's soldiers. Meanwhile, May is chasing The Absorbing Man, but is quickly called down by Coulson. The beginning of the episode was exciting, and I'm glad it picked up right where it left off, no time jumps or nothing. Coulson seems to be fitting well into the role of Director of SHIELD, but how he's acting is beginning to worry Skye, who quickly informs May about her concerns. The episode features Mac, the new engineer, trying to befriend Fitz and trying to help him with coming up with a device to stop the Absorbing Man. Of course, the episode continues the story line about Fitz from last week, where he's constantly seeing Simmons, even though she left. While it wasn't quite as heartbreaking as last week, this week does make it known that Fitz does realize that Simmons is gone. The episode had it's fair share of hilarious moments, one in particular with Tripp (who's slowly becoming another of my favorite characters), as well as Skye and Coulson. The episode also brought back a character from last season, Raina, who fit into the episode well, and provided us more questions about Skye's father, not to mention Raina herself.
The episode was slightly low on plot-twists, surprisingly, but the preview for the next episode more than made up for that. Is the promo lying? How long will this week drag out until the next episode? Who knows?
Overview:
4/5
Possible Major Spoilers in the Trailer-Can't be too sure, though....
Next Week: Has the team been betrayed again, by the least person they suspected?

Agreed, another very solid episode. AOS continues to impress in this post Winter Soldier era. Fitz's part of the show is very well done, and I cannot wait for Simmons to return next! As always, top notch review Tegan!

That's like two great episodes in a row. We could be in for one heck of a great ride this season! Yes it does, the post-Hydra/SHIELD war era seems to be doing a great job for AOS. Fitz's part of the show is very well done-if not heartbreaking. I'm excited for next week too, and I'm having trouble believing that *Spoilers* Simmons might be Hydra. I mean, I suspected, but, really? *End Spoilers* Thanks!
