This Review Will Have Minor Spoilers
The second episode of the eighth series of Doctor Who aired today, and-in the words of the Eleventh Doctor-it was a whopper.
Synopsis:
The Doctor and Clara voyage into the most dangerous place in all the universe-and worst: into a Dalek.
Review:
The episode starts off with a bang-explosions and all you could imagine. The episode, if I had to describe it, is sort of Aliens meet Doctor Who. It makes the Daleks frightening-I guess, I've never been real afraid of them-and showed them at their most dangerous, I think. The main story is simple: the crew members of the Aristotle believe they've found a Dalek 'so damaged it's turned good'. The story showed more of the Twelfth Doctor's coldness-he's no longer the slightly mad Doctor we saw in Deep Breath. He's still got that 'excited to see things I've never seen before' bit about him, which is obvious during some things. Clara has gotten used to the Doctor again, but that doesn't mean she doesn't get cross at him again in this episode. The story is simple, slightly edge-of-your-seat, and a little bit dark, with just a dash of humor. Between this and Deep Breath, I think we could very well be in store for one of the greatest seasons of Who yet.

So, where do you watch the episodes earlier? Do you have a link? I think I may have asked this before, but I forgot your answer... (sorry). I will be back tomorrow with my actual thoughts of the episode when I see it.

Ahh, sorry for not commenting sooner! I didn't think any comments would be up any time soon. I normally just watch the livestreams (LiveTvCafe.net) once I've learned when DW will be on in the US using Time Converters. If that don't work, after a while once the episode has aired, I type in 'Doctor Who [Episode Title] vodlocker' into google. They're the episodes. Sadly, there's a ton of links and ads on it if you don't have an Adblock.
DeleteI look forward to see what you thought of the episode, and again, sorry for not getting back to you sooner!! I apologize again.
P.S. I don't think you've asked before, but if you did, not problem!

*no problem. Wish blogger had an 'edit' button.
DeleteAgain, sorry for the late reply!

Agreed, this was a top notch episode for sure! I am loving the interaction between Clara and the Doctor. My favorite line has to be "She's my carer. She cares so I don't have to."

As good as this season has been, I really think we're in for one hey of a ride! So am I, I think they could easily become another favorite Team TARDIS for sure. That is definitely one of the best lines, and it's so quotable!
